David A. Plastino ’78
Dave Plastino has always sought to provide transformational experiences in the lives of students at UD. In 2007, he established the David A. Plastino Scholars Program, which supports select undergraduate students who exhibit extraordinary talent, promise and imagination with off-campus learning experiences based on their passions.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at UD before going on to earn his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Dave then joined Goldman Sachs, where he became vice president of investments before joining UBS in 1995. In 2009, he was honored with the UD Alumni Wall of Fame award. In 2010, Dave retired from his position as senior vice president of investments at UBS Financial Services in Philadelphia.
In addition to UD, Dave has been active in various causes and institutions including Arcadia University, the Lower Merion Scholarship Fund, the National Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation.
